| Recombinant VCAM comprises a 674 amino acid fragment (25-698) corresponding to the mature extracellular VCAM protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. | | | Catalog # | C2447-11C | | VCAM-1 is a cell surface sialoglycoprotein expressed by cytokine activated endothelium. The protein has a number of functions including the regulation of leukocyte migration, leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction and may play a role in a number of inflammatory diseases. | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. | | | | Recommended Dilution: | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | Source | Human, Recombinant, E. coli | | Purity | Purified. 95% by SDS-PAGE. | | Concentration | As reported | | Form | Supplied as a liquid. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. | | Alternate names | Vascular cell adhesion molecule 1, INCAM-100, Vascular cell adhesion protein 1 precursor, CD-106 antigen. |
