Monoclonal Mouse Purified E B IF
CDR2 (Cerebellar degeneration related protein 2) is an onconeuronal antigen; i.e. an antigen that is expressed by systemic tumors and elicits an immune response that may develop into an autoimmune neuronal degeneration. Paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration (PCD) is a disorder in which breast or ovarian tumors express CDR2, which normally is expressed in cerebellar Purkinje neurons. Patients with PCD carry a characteristic antibody called anti-Yo. Anti-Yo sera reacts with at least 2 antigens, a major species CDR2, and a minor species CDR1.
