| CDX2 (caudal-type homeobox protein 2), is a nuclear protein and member of the caudal homeobox family, which acts as a regulator for intestinal epithelium gene transcription, and possibly for the differentiation and proliferation of intestinal epithelial cells. | | | Studies have revealed the expression of CDX2 in intestinal-type gastric cancer, colorectal carcinomas and intestinal metaplasia of the stomach, and have implicated CDX2 as an early marker of Barrett's oesophagus, the premalignant lesion of oesophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC). | | | Catalog # | C2589-51E | | Applications | Suitable for usein ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:4000 | | Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml. detects a band of approximately 38kD in human kidney and liver cell lysates. | | Optimal dilution to be determined by researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Goat | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.3, 0.02% sodium azide and 0.5% BSA. | | Purity | Purified by affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Peptide sequence EQLSPGGQRRNLCE corresponding to the internal region of CDX2 (NP_001256.1). | | Specificity | Recognizes human CDX2. Species sequence homolgy: mouse, rat, canine. Not expected to recognize CDX1 or CDX4. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
