| CDX2 is an intestine-specific transcription factor expressed early in intestinal development and may function in the regulation of proliferation and differentia- tion of intestinal epithelial cells. CDX2 is found predominantly on the surface of villi and crypts. Differential expression has been reported in some intestinal cancers.
