| Celecoxib is a highly selective COX-2 inhibitor and primarily inhibits prostaglandin production. Celecoxib is approximately 7.6-fold more selective for COX-2 inhibition over COX-1. This specificity allows celecoxib to reduce inflammation and pain while minimizing gastrointestinal adverse drug reactions (e.g. stomach ulcers) that are common with non-selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). | | | Catalog # | C2600 | | Melting Point | 160-162ºC | | Solubility | Soluble in DMSO at 200mg/ml and Ethanol at 100mg/ml.
