Uncoupling protein which may catalyze the physiological 'proton leak' in liver. Overexpression induces the dissipation of mitochondrial membrane potential.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:32,000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 2.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-KSRLQADGQGQRR, from human C14orf68, at the internal region of the protein (NP_997000.2).

Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
