| Precerebellin is required for synapse integrity and synaptic plasticity and for the ER export and secretion of CBLN3. Precerebellin exerts neuromodulatory functions including directly stimulating norepinephrine release via the adenylate cyclase/PKA-dependent signaling pathway; and indirectly enhances adrenocortical secretion in vivo, through a paracrine mechanism involving medullary catecholamine release. Research indicates that Precerebellin may also be involved in a wider range of functions than have been so far demonstrated. | | | Catalog # | C2790-55 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (frozen) and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | immunohistochemistry (frozen): 10ug/ml | | Western Blot: 2-4ug/ml | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.02% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | A peptide corresponding to an 16aa sequence from near the carboxy terminus of human Precerebellin. | | Specificity | Recognizes human CBLN1. Species Crossreactivity: mouse and rat. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
