Polyclonal Rabbit Affinity Purified B
CDNF is a neutrophic factor for dopaminergic neurons. Studies have demonstrated that CDNF can prevent the 6-hydroxylamine (6-OHDA)-induced degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in a rat model of Parkinsonís disease. Additionally CDNF has been shown to restore the dopaminergic function and prevent the degeneration of dopaminergic neurones in the substantia nigra, suggesting that CDNF may have potential in the treatment of Parkinsonís disease.
Catalog #C2795-50
CDNF exists in at least two known isoforms and is widely expressed in both neuronal and non-neuronal tissues. Within the brain, highest expression is observed in the optic nerve and corpus callosum.
