| Homologs of E. coli GroES make up a family of small heat shock proteins with an approximate molecular mass of 10kD (Hsp10s). Hsp10 acts as a cochaperone and interacts with members of the Hsp60 family (GroEL in E. coli) to promote proper folding of polypeptides. In chlamydia, cpn10 is thought to interact with cHsp60, a reported immunopathological antigen (2), identifying cpn10 as a potential contributor to an immunological response (1). | | | Catalog # | C3470B | | Applications | | | Western Blot (Colorimetric) (1): 0.25ug/ml | | Immunoprecipitation (1) | | ELISA (1) | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1 | | Clone No | 4E45 | | Host | Mouse | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.1mM PMSF. | | Purity | Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | A 16 residue synthetic MAP peptide KKDDKGQQLPFEVQVG based on the C. trachomatis cpn10 (residues 54-69) (serovar A/HAR-13) | | Specificity | This affinity purified antibody detects a 15kD protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of cpn10 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots, in C. trachomatis infected cells. This antibody will not react with the human or mouse cpn10 homolog nor with E. | | coli GroES. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
