| Chemerin, also known as TIG2, is a distant member of the cystatin superfamily. The chemerin precursor is cleaved by multiple serine proteases at various sites near the C-terminus. Mature active chemerin is a 15-16kD heparin binding protein that induces immature dendritic cell and macrophage chemotaxis through interactions with ChemR23. | | | Catalog # | C3890 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot, Neutralization and ELISA. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Western Blot: 1ug/ml detects Chemerin in recombinant mouse Chemerin under non-reducing conditions. | | Neutralization: 1-5ug/ml in the presence of 100ng/ml of recombinant mouse Chemerin. Measured by its ability to neutralize Chemerin-induced chemotaxis in the BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with human Chem R23. | | Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application. | | Hybridoma | Mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a rat immunized with purified, E. coli-derived, recombinant mouse Chemerin (rmChemerin; aa17-156; Accession # NP_082128). | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2a | | Clone No | 7H152 | | Host | Rat | | Source | Mouse | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 5% trehalose. Reconstitute with 200ul sterile PBS. | | Purity | Purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Recombinant corresponding to Thr17-Ser156 from mouse Chemerin expressed in E. coli (Q9DD06). | | Specificity | Recognizes mouse Chemerin. Species Sequence Homology: rat 73%, human 63%. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
