| Chemerin, also known as TIG2, is a distant member of the cystatin superfamily. The Chemerin precursor is cleaved by multiple serine proteases at various sites near the C-terminus. Mature active Chemerin is a 15-16kD heparin binding protein that induces immature dendritic cell and macrophage chemotaxis through interactions with ChemR23. Mature mouse Chemerin shares 63% and 73% aa sequence identity with human and rat Chemerin, respectively. | | | Catalog # | C3890-01B | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 2-8ug/ml | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Hybridoma | Mouse myeloma cells with B cells obtained from a rat immunized with purified, E. coli-derived, recombinant mouse Chemerin (aa17-156). | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C for short-term only. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2B | | Clone No | 9L816 | | Host | Rat | | Source | Mouse | | Concentration | As reported | | Form | Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 5% trehalose.
