LPS is a common feature of the outer envelope of gram negative bacteria, which acts as a potent endotoxin, triggering an innate immune response. Studies have shown however, that whilst the LPS of Chlamydia trachomatis does evoke an immune response, it displays only weak endotoxic activity when compared to that of other bacteria such as Salmonella minnesota or Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

Recommended DilutionsELISA: 1:2000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
