Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

ImmunogenFull length native protein (purified) (Cow). Epitope: The epitope recognized by the antibody resides within amino acids 207-264 of bovine CHC.
SpecificityReacts specifically with the clathrin heavy chain (CHC17), and does not crossreact with the muscle isoform CHC22. It is reported to be non-reactive with native clathrin in immunocytochemistry, and immunoprecipitation (but some staining is seen in Rat1 cells, following 4% paraformaldehyde- 0.5% Triton X-100 fixation). Species Crossreactivity: Crossreacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and bovine. Not yet tested in other species.
