| Clathrin consists of three heavy chains (192kD) and three light chains (LCa or LCb, 25-29kD). It self-assembles into a polyhedral cytoskeletal element. Self-assembly facilitates clathrin’s central role in membrane sorting and selective transport within the cell. | | | Catalog # | C5835-08 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunoprecipitation (Denatured verified): 2ug/mg protein using Protein A. | | Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2hrs at RT | | Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Note: Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | Placenta | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2b,k | | Clone No | 3F133 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Bovine | | Concentration | ~0.2mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.2% BSA, 0.09% sodium azide.
