Claudin-12 is a 244 amino acid multipass membrane protein in the claudin family of epithelial tight junction proteins. Claudin-12 is expressed on intestinal, bladder, and blood-brain barrier epithelial cells. Human Claudin-12 shares 92% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Claudin-12.

Applications	Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions	Flow Cytometry: 25ug/ml. Use 10ul to label 1-2.5x10e5 cells. Total reaction volume should not exceed 200ul.
	Immunocytochemistry: 10ug/ml detects Claudin-12 in CaCo2 cells. Fix cells with PBS containing 4% paraformaldehyde and blocked with PBS containing 10% normal donkey serum, 0.1% Triton X-100 and 1% BSA.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
