| 2,3-cyclic nucleotide-3-phosphodiesterase (CNP) is a membrane bound, microtubule associated protein that is among the most abundant myelin proteins of the CNS. It is thought that CNP may serve as a regulator of tubulin polymerization and of microtubule distribution (Bifulco et al., 2002). It was recently found that CNP may also function as a possible linker protein anchoring microtubules to the plasma membrane via a 13 residue C-terminal CNP fragment. | | | Catalog # | C6200-01C | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 1:1000 | | Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Rabbit | | Concentration | Not determined | | Form | Supplied as a liquid. | | Purity | Serum | | Immunogen | Endogenous rabbit 2,3-cyclic nucleotide-3-phospho-diesterase | | Specificity | Species Crossreactivity: mouse, human, rabbit, rat and sheep tissues. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. | | Alternate names | cyclic-CMP phosphodiesterase, 2', 3'-cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase, cyclic 2', 3'-nucleotide 3'-phosphodiesterase, cyclic 2', 3'-nucleotide phosphodiesterase, 2', 3'-cyclic nucleoside monophosphate phosphodiesterase, 2', 3'-cyclic nucleotide 3'-phosphohydr |
