| Catalog # | C6200X |
| CNPase (2’,3’-Cyclic Nucleotide 3’-Phosphodiesterase) exists in two forms | 46kD (CNP1) and 48kD (CNP2). It is expressed at high levels by oligodendrocytes in the central nervous system and by Schwann cells in the peripheral nervous system and is virtually absent in other cell types. CNPase activity is decreased in demyelinating diseases such as multiple sclerosis. CNPase gene is localized to chromosome 17q21, very near the BRCA1 familial breast cancer gene. |
| Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. |
| Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry (formalin/paraffin): 2-4ug/ml. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. |
| Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. |
| Positive Control | Brain |
| Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
