ApplicationsSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2hrs at RT.
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1-2ug/ml for 30 min at RT. Staining of formalin/paraffin tissues requires digestion of tissue sections with pepsin at 1mg/ml Tris-HCl, pH 2.0 for 15 min at RT or 10 min at 37°C.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive ControlCartilage in lung or fetus.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at-20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at-20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

ImmunogenA puri ed preparation of lathyritic type II collagen from embryonic chicken sternum. Epitope
SpecificityHighly specific to type II collagen and lathyritic type II collagen. Does not crossreact with types I, III, IV, V, VI, IX, X, or XI. In Western Blot, recognizes TCB fragment of pepsin-digested type II collagen after digestion with mammalian collagenase. Species Crossreactivity: human, mouse, rat, bovine, chicken.
