| Collagen Type III is assigned to chromosome 2. Ultrastructural analysis of tissues from mutant mice revealed that type III collagen is essential for normal collagen I fibrillogenesis in the cardiovascular system and other organs. Type III collagen is crucial for collagen I fibrillogenesis and for normal cardiovascular development. Type-III Collagen is a fibrous scleroprotein in bone, cartilage, tendon, bone marrow stroma and other connective tissue. Mutations Collagen III are associated with type III and IV Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and with aortic and arterial aneurysms. | | | Catalog # | C7510-39Q | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA and Immunoprecipitation.
