Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Rabbit Serum E
C1 component of human complement is a complex of three glycoproteins: C1q, C1r and C1s.
C1q has a molecular weight of 492.000 and is present in plasma in an average concentration of
80 g/ml. It consists of a complex of 18 polypeptide chains of three different types, A, B and C;
6 of each type. The subcomponent C1q is responsible for the binding of C1q to immuno-
complexes an membranes via the Fc portion of the immunoglobulin.
Catalog #C7850-06M

ImmunogenC1q subunit of C1 component of human complement
SpecificityRecognizes the C1q subunit of C1 component of human complement. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) against fresh normal human plasma a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified C1q protein. May also react with complexes containing C1q. Does not react with C1r, C1s or any other plasma protein component or serum. Does not crossreact with any other component of human plasma.
