| Complement component C2 is a component of the classical complement pathway and is involved in activation of C3 and C5. C2 consists of a single polypeptide chain with a molecular mass of 102kD. | | | Catalog # | C7850-09 | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:10,000 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Hybridoma | P3X63-Ag8.653 from Balb/c mice. | | Culture Medium | RPMI 1640 with 10% fetal calf serum. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2a,k | | Clone No | 6F60 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 15mM sodium azide, before the addition of glycerol to 40%. | | | Purity | Purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Complement component C2 isolated from human plasma (1). | | Specificity | Specific for human C2 from plasma/serum. Recognizes human C2 in both native and denatured forms. In Western Blot after SDS-PAGE this antibody reacts with C2 and a subfraction of C2 believed to be C2b, both under reducing and non-reducing conditions. In ELISA, strong reaction is seen with C2 directly coated onto the microtiter well. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
