Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Specificity	Specific for human C2 from plasma/serum. Recognizes human C2 in both native and denatured forms. In Western Blot after SDS-PAGE this antibody reacts with C2 and a subfraction of C2 believed to be C2b, both under reducing and non-reducing conditions. In ELISA, strong reaction is seen with C2 directly coated onto the microtiter well.
