| Complement C5a is generated in the circulation by the activation of complement. It is a so-called anaphylatoxin of 74 amino-acid residues generated by the action of C5 convertase, which cleaves C5 into C5a and C5b. It is rapidly inactivated by serum carboxypeptidase B, which removes the C-terminal arginine residue generating C5a(desArg) (1). | | | Catalog # | C7850-24J | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:32,000. The dilution guideline for ELISA is based on use as detection antibody for antigen coated at 0.5ug/ml and does not apply to sandwich ELISA. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
