| Properdin factor B is a heat-labile serum protein active in the alternative complement | | | activation pathway. It is binding to the C3b component of complement. The protein has a molecular weight of 92000 and its mean concentration in human plasma is 200ug/ml. | | | Catalog # | C7850-60L | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and Double Radial Immunodiffusion. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunoelectrophoresis: 120ul against 2ul human serum. | | Double Radial Immunodiffusion: Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in a 3mm diameter center well and 10ul in 3mm diameter peripheral wells. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Goat | | Source | Human | | Concentration | Not determined | | Form | Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Preservative free. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O. Dilute further in PBS, pH 7.2. | | Purity | Serum | | Immunogen | Human Properdin Factor B | | Specificity | Recognizes human Properdin Factor B. In immunoelectrophoresis against human EDTA plasma a single precipitin line is obtained in the beta-2 region. Does not react with any other protein component of human serum or plasma. A weak reaction with mouse has been observed in | | double radial immunodiffusion. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. | | Alternate names | AHUS4, EC=3.4.21.47, FBI12, FLJ54899, H2-Bf |
