| Cyclooxygenase-2 is a mitogen-inducible form of cyclooxygenase and is expressed in response to inflammatory stimuli such as UV radiation and T cell receptor triggering. It induces angiogenesis and functions in normal keratinocyte differentiation. This enzyme is found in normal skin and epithelial cells of various diseases and cancers.
