| CTGF is a heparin-binding pleiotropic growth factor involved in chondrogenesis and potentially skeletogenesis. CTGF promotes the adhesion of epithelial cells and fibroblasts, stimulates integrin expression, and also promotes endothelial cell survival, migration and adhesion, implicating CTGF in angiogenesis.
