Cyclin C was originally identified by a genetic screen for human and Drosophila cDNAs that
complement a triple knockout of the CLN genes in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Cyclin C interacts both in vivo and in vitro with cdk8. This complex is reported to control RNA polymerase II function.

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
