| Cyclin D1 or PRAD-1 or bcl-1 is one of the key cell cycle regulators, and functions in association with cdk4 and / or cdk6 by phosphorylating the Rb protein. It is a putative proto-oncogene overexpressed in a wide variety of human neoplasms including mantle cell lymphomas (MCL). | | | Catalog # | C8454-01G | | Applications | Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin). Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 for 10 min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. | | Positive Control | Breast carcinomas or mantle cell lymphoma. | | Cellular Localization | Nuclear. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Clone No | 5G87 | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | Not determined | | Form | Supplied as a liquid with 0.09% sodium azide. | | Purity | Culture supernatant | | Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from C-terminus of human cyclin D1. | | Specificity | Recognizes Cyclin D1.
