| Cyclin D1 is a 36kD nuclear protein. The cell cycle in eukaryotic cells is mediated by the formation, activation, and deactivation of complexes containing Cyclin-Dependent Kinases (CDK) and cyclins. D-type cyclins usually associate with CDK4 (p34 PSK-J3). Complexes with CDK2 and CDK5 have also been reported (1). D-type cyclins are necessary for cells to achieve the G1 to S transition in the cell cycle (2). The D-type cyclins have been shown to associate with PCNA, the retinoblastoma gene product, p21, and other proteins. | | | Catalog # | C8454-06A | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 0.1-1.0ug/ml | | Western Blot: 0.3-1.0ug/ml | | Immunoprecipitation: 5ug | | Immunohistochemistry: 2-10ug/ml. Formalin-fixed paraffin embedded sections require a Heat Induced epitope Retrieval (HIER) step prior to staining. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Source | Ascites | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2a,k | | Clone No | 3G112 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.1% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Full length human cyclin D1 protein. | | Specificity | Recognizes cyclin D1.
