Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified E B IP IH
Cyclin D1 is a 36kD nuclear protein. The cell cycle in eukaryotic cells is mediated by the formation, activation, and deactivation of complexes containing Cyclin-Dependent Kinases (CDK) and cyclins. D-type cyclins usually associate with CDK4 (p34 PSK-J3). Complexes with CDK2 and CDK5 have also been reported (1). D-type cyclins are necessary for cells to achieve the G1 to S transition in the cell cycle (2). The D-type cyclins have been shown to associate with PCNA, the retinoblastoma gene product, p21, and other proteins.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionELISA: 0.1-1.0ug/ml
Western Blot: 0.3-1.0ug/ml
Immunoprecipitation: 5ug
Immunohistochemistry: 2-10ug/ml. Formalin-fixed paraffin embedded sections require a Heat Induced epitope Retrieval (HIER) step prior to staining.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
