| Cyclin E is a regulatory subunit of cdk-2 and controls G1/S transition during the mammalian cell cycle. Multiple isoforms of cyclin E are expressed only in tumors but not in the normal tissues. Qualitative and quantitative alterations in cyclin E protein have been implicated as indicators of worse prognosis in various cancers. | | | Catalog # | C8455-10X | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Not suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2 hours at RT. A doublet of 50kD and a single band of 42kD are observed. | | Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 2-4ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin/paraffin tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | SKBR3 or LS174T cells. Breast carcinomas or placenta. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1 | | Clone No | 0.N.244 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | 1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in 10mM PBS, pH 7.4. Also available with BSA and azide. See C8455-10. | | Purity | Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Recombinant human cyclin E protein. Cellular Localization: Nuclear | | Specificity | Recognizes human Cyclin E. Does not react with mouse or rat. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
