Cyclin E is a regulatory subunit of cdk-2 and controls G1/S transition during the mammalian cell cycle. Multiple isoforms of cyclin E are expressed only in tumors but not in the normal tissues. Qualitative and quantitative alterations in cyclin E protein have been implicated as indicators of worse prognosis in various cancers.

Applications	Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Not suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution	Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2 hours at RT. A doublet of 50kD and a single band of 42kD are observed.
	Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 2-4ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin/paraffin tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control	SKBR3 or LS174T cells. Breast carcinomas or placenta.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
