Cystatin A, a protein belonging to family I of the cystatin superfamily of cysteine proteinase inhibitors, is a 98 amino acid cytoplasmic protein (~11kD), which functions as a reversible inhibitor of cysteine proteinases such as papain and the cathepsins B, H, and L.

Recommended Dilutions	Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin sections
	Western Blot: 1:10,000-1:20,000
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
