| Used for the localization of cytokeratins using various immunochemical assays including direct immunofluorescence using frozen or fixed tissue sections or cultured cells. It may also be used in flow cytometry of normal and neoplastic epithelial cells. Intermediate-sized filaments are abundant cytoplasmic structural proteins in most vertebrate cells. | | | Catalog # | C9097-01U | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunofluorescence: 1:25. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1 | | Clone No | 8J1152 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | As reported | | Form | 1% BSA, 0.01M PBS. Cytokeratin is a broad spectrum antibody which reacts specifically with a wide variety of normal, reactive and neoplastic epithelial tissues. The antibody reacts with simple, cornifying and non cornifying squamous epithelia and pseudostratified epithelia. It does not react with non-epithelial normal human tissues. Species Crossreactivity: cytokeratins from many species (e.g., rabbit, guinea pig, goat, bovine, sheep, rat, mouse, hamster, canine, cat, chicken, viper, lizard and carp). | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
