Cytokeratin 17 is an excellent marker to distinguish myoepithelial cells from luminal epithelium of various glands (mammary, sweat, salivary, bronchial, tracheal, laryngeal, esophageal) and benign from malignant forms of (mammary gland tumors). In the epidermis supratbasal stainging is found only in cornifying regions and in the outer root sheath of hair follicles.

Applications	Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions	Western Blot: 1:5000-1:10,000 (ECL)
	Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:100-1:200; Incubate for 1 hour at RT.
	Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin embedded): 1:50; Incubate for > 1 hour at RT.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
