Applications	Suitable for use in Immunoblot and Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue, Proteolytic treatment with pepsin or pronase).
Recommended Dilution	Immunohistochemistry: 1:5-1:10, dilute immediately before use.

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Specificity	Species Crossreactivity: Human, No significant reaction with mouse or rat. Recognizes all simple epithelia including glandular epithelia. It does not react with stratified squamous epithelium. Useful for the differentiation between carcinomas and lymphomas. This clone is directed against the 52.2kD cytokeratin 8 (originally reported also to 45kD cytokeratin 18) in immunoblot. Epitope has been mapped to aa353-367 on alpha helical rod domain of cytokeratin 8.
