DJ-1, otherwise known as PARK7 (Parkinson disease protein 7), a member of the peptidase C56 family, highly expressed in skeletal muscle, heart, pancreas, liver, kidney and testis, which plays a role in transcriptional regulation and reaction to anti-oxidative stress.
DJ-1 exhibits cell-growth promoting and transforming activity, and protects neurons against oxidative stress and cell death. Defects in PARK7 are responsible for the autosomal recessive disorder early onset Parkinson disease 7.

Recommended Dilutions
ELISA: 1:32,000
Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml detects a band of ~20kD in Jurkat cell lysates.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
