| DNA methyltransferases (Dnmts) methylates the 5-position of cytosine in the context of CpG dinucleotides. DNA methylation is crucial for normal embryonic development, genetic imprinting, and X-chromosome inactivation. DNA (cytosine-5-)-methyltransferase 1 has a role in the establishment and regulation of tissue-specific patterns of methylated cytosine residues. Aberrant methylation patterns are associated with certain human tumors and developmental abnormalities. | | | Catalog # | D3931-61B | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
