pUC19 DNA is isolated from E. coli (dam+, dcm+). The molecule is a double-stranded closed circular high copy plasmid, 2686 base pairs in length. GenBank/EMBL accession number L09137.

pUC19 is identical to pUC18 except that the polylinker is inserted in the opposite orientation. pUC19 DNA has a molecular weight of 1.74x10e6 daltons.
Storage and Stability
Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Purity
Purified using chromatographic methods. More than 90% is the supercoiled form.

~0.5mg DNA/ml
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 10mM Tris HCl, pH 7.6, 1mM EDTA.
