Pol e is present in proliferating cells and is implicated in repair of UV-damaged DNA. It is found to be a component of a recombination complex that is able to repair deletions and double-strand breaks. It is not known whether pol e* can
replace pol e in these processes.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionsImmunoprecipitation (Native and Denatured): 2ug/mg protein lysate.
Western Blot: 2-4ug/ml for 2hrs at RT.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

SpecificityRecognizes human DNA polymerase e (Pol e) at ~ 200kD. Also recognizes a 140kD form of Pole , known as Pol e*, a truncated from of pole that has lost its C-terminal half. Species Crossreactivity: Detects both Pol e and Pole * of monkey, bovine and mouse.
