| Dynamin is a member of a group of nerve terminal proteins called dephosphins that regulate synaptic vesicle endocytosis. Cyclin dependent protein kinase 5 phosphorylates dynamin at Ser774 and Ser778 that are the phosphorylation sites on dynamin phosphorylated in vivo. Phosphorylation of these sites on dynamin is thought to play a key role in synaptic vesicle trafficking. |

| Catalog # | D9901-20 |
| Applications | Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. |
| Recommended Dilutions | Immunofluorescence: 1:1000 |
| Western Blot: 1:1000; Band at ~95kD. The labeling of the dynamin band in Western Blots of rat brain was blocked by the phosphopeptide used as the immunogen, but not by the corresponding dephosphopeptide. |
| Immunocytochemistry: 1:1000 |
| Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000 |
| Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. |
| Positive Control | Rat brain synaptosomal lysate |
| Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
| CAS Number | n/a |
| Clone Type | Polyclonal |
| Isotype | IgG |
| Host | Sheep |
| Source | Human |
| Concentration | Not Determined |
| Form | Supplied as a liquid in 10mM HEPES, pH 7.5, 150mM sodium chloride, 0.1mg/ml BSA, 50% glycerol. |
