Beta-dystroglycan is found in normal muscle but has a differential expression in certain instances of muscular dystrophy. This antibody will help identify the presence or absence of beta-dystroglycan.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Not suitable for paraffin sections. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionsWestern Blot: 1:25-1:50
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:50-1:200, unfixed sections for 1 hour at RT
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control
Western Blot: Skeletal muscle, band at ~43kD.
Immunohistochemistry: Striated muscle, Continuous staining at periphery of muscle fibers.
Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
