Elastin is a major structural protein expressed within the outer myometrial smooth muscle and throughout the arteriolar tree of uterus. It is also expressed in the large arteries, lung and skin.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionsELISA: 1:8000. The 50% OD was observed using 1ug of native antigen/well. Under the same conditions, the end-point was observed at 1:200,000.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Fixation with 10% formalin is recommended. Brief digestion with hyaluronidase or trypsin aids antigen retrieval.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
