Enzastaurin inhibits PKCb, PKCa, PKCy and PKCe with IC50's of 0.006, 0.039, 0.083 and 0.110uM, respectively. Enzastaurin apparently inhibits tumor growth via multiple mechanisms	suppression of tumor cell proliferation, induction of tumor cell apoptosis and inhibition of tumor-induced angiogenesis.
Solubility	Soluble in DMSO at 7.1mg/ml with warming; very poorly soluble in ethanol; very poorly soluble in water; maximum solubility in plain water is estimated to be about 1-10uM; buffers, serum, or other additives may increase or decrease the aqueous solubility.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
