Murine Eotaxin shares many of the biological and physical characteristics of Human Eotaxin. This chemokine exhibits a high chemotactic selectivity for eosinophils and belongs to the b-chemokine family (C-C) of cytokines, along with chemokines such as RANTES, MCP-3, and MIP-1alpha, Murine eotaxin is an 8.4kD protein containing 74 amino acid residues.

Biological Activity	Recombinant Murine Eotaxin is fully biologically active compared to standard. Murine Eotaxin was found to induce chemotaxis of purified eosinophils at concentrations ranging between 100-1000ng/ml.

Storage and Stability
	Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile buffer. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
