| Murine Eotaxin shares many of the biological and physical characteristics of Human Eotaxin. This chemokine exhibits a high chemotactic selectivity for eosinophils and belongs to the b-chemokine family (C-C) of cytokines, along with chemokines such as RANTES, MCP-3, and MIP-1alpha, Murine eotaxin is an 8.4kD protein containing 74 amino acid residues. | | | Catalog # | E3351 | | Biological Activity | Recombinant Murine Eotaxin is fully biologically active compared to standard. Murine Eotaxin was found to induce chemotaxis of purified eosinophils at concentrations ranging between 100-1000ng/ml. | | Responding Cells (partial list) | Eosinophils | | Concentration Range for most in vitro applications | 100-1000 ng/ml | | Storage and Stability | | | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile buffer. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | Country of Origin | USA | | Molecular Weight | 8.4kD | | Source | E. coli | | Purity | 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug | | Form | Supplied as a lyophilized powder without additives. (The protein may appear as a haze or film which is difficult to see at the bottom of the vial). Reconstitute with ddH2O, 0.1% BSA or HSA to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. Further dilutions should be made with a buffer. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
