| EGP40 is a 40kD transmembrane epithelial glycoprotein, also identified as epithelial specific antigen (ESA), or epithelial cellular adhesion molecule (Ep-CAM). It is expressed on baso-lateral cell surface in most simple epithelia and a vast majority of carcinomas. It reportedly distinguishes adenocarcinomas from pleural mesotheliomas. | | | Catalog # | E3414-11X | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires digestion of tissue sections with pepsin at 1mg/ml Tris-HCl, pH 2.0, for 15 minutes at RT or 10 minutes at 37ºC. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | Breast carcinoma | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
