Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified IH FC IF
Epithelial Specific Antigen (ESA, Epithelial Cellular Adhesion Molecule, Ep-CAM), EGP40) is expressed on the baso-lateral cell surface in most human simple epithelia and a vast majority of carcinomas. It reportedly distinguishes adenocarcinomas from pleural mesotheliomas.
Catalog #E3414-12X
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, Radioimaging and Immunohistochemistry (formalin/paraffin). Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunohistochemistry: 1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Note: Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires digestion of tissue sections with pepsin at 1mg/ml in Tris-HCl, pH 2.0 for 15 minutes at RT or 10 minutes at 37ºC.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive ControlBreast carcinoma
Cellular LocalizationCell membrane
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
