| Catalog # | E3440-09A | | Epitope | Located in the internal part of the membrane-associated viral LMP. | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:25 to 1:50 for 30 min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. | | Optimal dilution to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | EBV-positive lymphoblastoma | | Cellular Localization | Cytoplasmic | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1 | | Clone No | 5G100 | | Host | Mouse | | Concentration | Not determined | | Form | Supplied as a liquid with 0.09% sodium azide. | | Purity | Culture supernatant | | Immunogen | EBV-encoded recombinant latent membrane protein. | | Specificity | Reacts strongly with EBV-positive lymphoblastoid cell lines and EBV infected B cell immunoblasts in infectious mononucleosis. Also reacts with 25-50% of EBV-associated undifferentiated nasopharyngeal carcinomas and with Reed Sternberg cells in ~90% of EBV-associated Hodgkin’s disease cases. The cocktail recognizes distinct epitopes on the hydrophilic carboxyl region of LMP which is exposed to the cytosol. Species Crossreactivity: EBV-positive cells. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
