Epitope	Located in the internal part of the membrane-associated viral LMP.
Applications	Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution	Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:25 to 1:50 for 30 min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Immunogen	EBV-encoded recombinant latent membrane protein.
Specificity	Reacts strongly with EBV-positive lymphoblastoid cell lines and EBV infected B cell immunoblasts in infectious mononucleosis. Also reacts with 25-50% of EBV-associated undifferentiated nasopharyngeal carcinomas and with Reed Sternberg cells in ~90% of EBV-associated Hodgkin’s disease cases. The cocktail recognizes distinct epitopes on the hydrophilic carboxyl region of LMP which is exposed to the cytosol. Species Crossreactivity: EBV-positive cells.
