| Human Her2/neu (also known as c-erbB-2) proto-oncogene is expressed at the cell surface of a range of tumor cells. It is an essential component of a neuregulin-receptor complex, althought neuregulins do not interact with it alone. GP30 is a potential ligand for this receptor. Not activated by EGF, TGF-alpha and amphiregulin. In many types of tumor Her2/neu expression is related to poor prognosis, with an increased risk of metastasis. | | | Catalog # | E3451-25N | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Immunohistochemistry: For paraffin sections, antigen retrieval is not needed but it may optimiz staining. Also good with frozen sections. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
