| Recombinant Human Erythropoietin-beta is produced in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells by recombinant DNA technology is a single, polypeptide chain containing 165 amino acids and having a predicted molecular mass of 21kD and apparent glycosylated molecular mass of 30.4kD. | | | Catalog # | E3455-09 | | Dimers and Aggregates | 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis. | | Biological Activity | Erythropoietin is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The Specific Activity was measured by Normocyth-aemic mice and was found to be 1.2x10e5IU/mg. | | Endotoxin | 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of EPO-b. | | Reconstitution | Reconstitute the lyophilized EPO-b in sterile 18M -cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile dH2O and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | Source | CHO cells | | Purity | 98% by RP-HPLC, FPLC, or reducing/non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stain. Chromatographically purified. | | Concentration | ~0.1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a lyophlilzed powder in sodium phosphate dibasic, sodium phosphate monobasic buffer, 60% sodium chloride, 0.6% calcium chloride and 0.004% Tween 20. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
