ER protein exhibits six functionally discrete domains required for transcription activation function, binding to estrogen response element (ERE) constitutive dimerization, binding to heat shock proteins, and ligand recognition. It is an important regulator of growth and differentiation in the mammary gland. Presence of ER in breast tumors may improve response to anti-estrogen therapy.

Note Ab is a rat monoclonal antibody and for maximum sensitivity it is highly recommended that an anti-rat antibody should be used as a secondary antibody for all applications.
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2hrs at RT

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
