| Erzin, a member of the Ezrin, Radixin, Moesin (ERM) family, is a linker protein located between cell surface receptors, adhesion molecules, and actin cytoskeleton (1-2). Radixin is a cytoskeletal protein that may be important in linking actin to the plasma membrane. Recent cloning of the murine and porcine radixin cDNAs revealed a protein highly homologous to ezrin and moesin (3). oesin (membrane-organizing extension spike protein) has previously been characterized as a possible receptor protein for heparan sulfate and also as a cytoskeletal linker protein that stabilizes cell surface microvilli, filopodia and lamellipodia. Data indicate that moesin is identical to the 77-kD band that copurifies with ezrin in its isolation from human placenta (4). | | | | | | Applications: | | | Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry.
