Ezrin serves as a tyrosine kinase substrate and is phosphorylated in EGF-stimulated cells.
It is a cytoplasmic protein enriched in microvilli and other cell surfaces. Ezrin has an actin-binding capacity and is expressed in epithelial cells but not in mesenchymal cells. It is also expressed by certain epithelial tumors, such as renal cell adenocarcinomas.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections and Frozen sections) and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 for 30mins at RT (ABC method). For formalin fixed paraffin embedded sections, perform heat mediated antigen retrieval using 10mM citrate buffer pH 6.0 before commencing with Immunohistochemistry staining.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
